On the road with Doctor Wayne

We started Sunday at Rochester, pretty-much on our own as a parade of freight passed by.
First up was this westbound...



...followed by another...



...and another...



...then an eastbound...



...another westbound...



...and, while it was passing, this eastbound:



...followed by another...



...and another...



...and another...



...and yet another. As you can see, the 765's arrival time must be getting close, as the fans are arriving to have their picture taken.



Just as the star attraction showed up, so did the real foamers. At least he's not too close to the tracks. (Can I tighten your camera strap for you, Ed?)



Surprisingly, I managed to finally get a shot of the NKP heritage unit without anyone trying to steal the scene:



While the bulk of the crowd disappeared almost as quickly as the 765, we stuck around to get a shot of 2605 on another eastbound...



...then headed for a new vantage point atop a nearby road bridge undergoing repairs. It wasn't long before the action resumed, and it's a wonder that the show of exhaust from this westbound didn't draw the tourist crowd back to trackside:





Not much later, the 765 returned, although it was disappointing to see the show of heavy exhaust for the "fans". At least there was no one to block the view:



I even managed to catch the heritage unit again:



As we headed to the car, this westbound appeared...



...then it was off again to New Brighton, where we caught this eastbound:



After that, we headed of to Milepost 44, but those are photos for a later offering.
