Matt,I think the future is quite bright for 3D printing.The items I have been using (so far) are productss of Stony Smith"s fertile mind.There are more and more comp[anys getting into 3D printing (some of them should not).Stony has about 18 pages of his stuff on the Shapeways site.Here is a link to his pages. http://www.shapeways.com/shops/stonysmith
Stony is not the only one with a Shapeways store selling model railroading items there are quite a few others and the list keeps growing.I have Stony's new extended vision caboose in Z and will be buying more of his Z scale freight cars.
As for working on all the projects I'm into basically I will work on one thing for a while then stop and do something else .Waiting for glue or paint to dry is a great motivator to work on something else.
