I use a 12:1 ratio so that an 8 hour shift would be 40 minutes or a 5 minute hour.
The math for scale hours is simple. Just divide the ratio by 60 minutes. 4:1 would be 4/60=15 minutes per hour.
Did I simplify it or make it more confusing?
