We can spend billions of dollars to bail out companies that are in financial straits due to over payment to mgrs., and the like, but cannot seem to be willing to help out our railroads, which are vital to the economy. Several years ago, NS signed a deal with their fuel supplier to freeze the price they paid for their fuel. So when the cost of fuel went up for most everyone else, NS just cruised along smiling to them selves. A smart bunch of folks running our railroad.
