Trains on this day in the past:
May 16, 1981 Negley, Ohio. Looks like a stop to fill the sanders. Youngstown and Southern railroad. At this time the general idea was to break the railroad and shut it down. The road was finally sold in 1992 and has been through 7 new owners and still runs today. It is reported by one author to be the oldest operating short line in America.     Though the railroad has survived, the sand house, as evidenced by this April 2009 photo is returning to nature.       Charlie
