Hmmm, must be an optical illusion somehow but it appears as if your buildings in this last photo, while well done, are a different scale when comparing them to the trackwork in the foreground???

Train Nut.
Now that I study the photo you are right. The structures are in a valley about 2" lower than the track.

I went out and bought a new lamp yesterday, so I tried it out with some new photos.
First Ma and Pa Caswell and Clarabelle Cow. Then the corner just south of Orangeville. Just a wild corner. It is a 500w Halogen work light that I picked up at Canadian Tire for $14.99.

Here is a shot of my workbench, hidden away under the layout.
Also in the picture is my new flood light for taking photos.

That is one neat and tidy room Will!
Great looking scenes too. Andrew

Andrew, it has to be.
That photo was taken from the doorway to the room, If I had turned around, you would have seen the front door of the apartment. The boss says I have to keep it clean. Saves fighting....

You certainly put me and mine to shame Will. :o
That is disgustingly tidy. The War Office stays away from mine when I work down there,.... and turns a blind eye when she goes to feeds her fish, which live right next to the layout. I do tidy up when I finish a project, but sometimes that is a while between sweeps. Looks like the new lamp does the trick anyway Will, the photos are very clear. Jack

I can't stop admiring your layout. To have such a great layout and model 1900 in N is beyond my ability. I struggle in HO. Very well done. Fred Wright ....modeling foggy coastal Oregon, where it's always 1900....

Why thank you Fred.
Actually, I guess I am hard on myself, I keep looking at the "ugly" spots and wishing I had more time to get into the train room and play. This is a holiday weekend and I close the shop at 2PM on Saturday. Maybe this afternoon, tomorrow and MOnday I can do something. (That is if I can hide the "Honey Do" list. If I do, I will post some more photos on Monday eve.

I finished the Bottling Works and temporarily set it into place this morning.
It needs to be raised up a bit to make the platform level with the rolling stock. But here it is.

Nicely done Will!
Once everything is in place and the track is ballasted, don't forget to add the smashed box of bottles on the far side of the tracks... Andrew |
