I've had next to no time to work on the layout so I decided I needed to change that. I finished the benchwork except for a couple of small pieces. This challenge will be to install insulboard for sound deadening and get the track down and with any luck get it wired. I'm going to give myself one week to get this finished.

No rush, Stephen, as the Challenge runs until mid-April...maybe even longer, so I can get at least something done.

Hahaha slow and steady. Got the insulboard down yesterday so maybe I'll keep moving forward.

Lookin' good, Stephen!
What's the material you're using for the layout top in your second photo? It reminds me of a building product which used to be quite common around here as a sheathing material on wood-framed buildings. I believe that it was called Donnacona Board. Apparently, it's still around and is used primarily as a soundproofing agent...probably a good use under track.

I'm not sure of what it is actually called. It is sound deadening but the last time I had bought some it didn't have any black on it.
