On this plan of a CP Mini Box (Funaro & Camerlengo kit), the fixed end of the small brake lever (A end) is on the left of the car, same side as the cylinder. It was the same with my last Westerfield kit (CP USRA Clone Boxcar).
On most cars I have built, the fixed end was on the other side.
Is it an error? If not, how can this work?

While it does look bass-awkward, if you follow the brake cylinder's movement when the brakes are applied, the movement of the rodding is as it should be....
This is what we are more used to seeing...

Hello Guy,
in the technical drawing in your post, there are left and right end inverted. The Brake wheel is always on the end were it can by the means of rods, levers and chain pull the brake cylinder out.
