Right then, I'll get this started. Here are 4 pics that i took in North Wales, UK, along the Ffestiniog Railway.
Talesin on the Victorian Train at "Tan Y Bwlch" midway station Talesin just outside "Tan Y Bwlch" - Despite the dull weather the windows were surprisingly clean - hence the relection. Merddin Emeris ant Porthmadog, Horrible weather, but a great atmosphere. And last but not least, David Lloydd George leaving Tan Y Bwlch, Heading toward Blaeniu Ffestiniog. DLG is just visible through the trees. Tom (TC) - Creator of Extremely Miniature Layouts on Disks! See Them All, and More on My Website. Latest Update: Jan '10.

TTC # 2894 [album]1078[/album] TTC #327 Although #327 is a replica (which itself dates from 1934), it apparently runs on the original #327 truck, which dates from 1892! [album]1079[/album] Andrew

First photo is from an October 07 excursion between Kamloops, BC, and Armstrong. It was a beautiful fall day, and the equally elegant ex-CN 2-8-0 #2141 pulled us very well out and back. She had to pull tender first on the return trip, and hit a farmer's 5-ton gravel truck pulling a large hay wagon with large round bales. Very little damage to either vehicle because the 70+ year-old hogger was right on the ball. I sent him my compliments via the excursion office, and he ended up calling me. We chatted for half an hour.
![]() Second image is of the cross-over at Cisco, BC, where the CN and CP swap sides of the Fraser River Canyon. ![]() Thirdly, in March of this year, we chased this train (not purposefully, the two routes run the Fraser Canyon, so neither of us had a choice). Here it is rounding a bend about 10 km east of Lytton, still in the South Thompson. ![]() We stopped at Lytton and I dashed on down the embankment to photograph this newly decked bridge. CN had a nasty derailment on the far side in 2007, and I guess they decided to re-engineer it all. ![]() And lastly, on May 03 of this year, I finally got a ride pulled by the wonderful Royal Hudson. Ain't she a beauty!? ![]()

Well here is my entry for this contest.
This is the first public running of Prairie Dog Central #3 in almost a decade after a complete rebuild. We start things off around 9am sunday morning on May 10th with the crew letting off a little steam. [albumimg]1080[/albumimg] Then the crew let off a little more steam for a few of us that showed up early to take pictures before the crowds showed up [albumimg]1081[/albumimg] Just north of Inkster Junction PDC #3 builds up some speed after departing the depot [albumimg]1082[/albumimg] And finally at the end of the line the engineer takes a well deserved break while the guests take a peek inside the engine. [albumimg]1083[/albumimg] I think they have done a marvelous job with the restoration, they just need to paint the other side of the tender ![]()
That light at the end of the Tunnel isn't heaven.........ITS A TRAIN!

Mikey, I bet that train is real popular around the Christmas season!
Josh, I love your camera chosen camera angle as it almost totally blockes out that silly diesel helper behind 3751! |
