Continuing with the Trainmaster. This time it is Reading #803 bringing in a passenger train from Pottsville.

Hi Tom---those Fairbanks Morse Trainmaster locomotives were impressive.In Canada the Canadian Locomotive Works produced these diesels for both the Canadian Pacific and Canadian National Railways.The CPR was a big customer but the CNR purchased only one of these units---#2900.This locomotive was used in both freight and passenger service and ended it's career on the ore docks in Fort William Ontario.The 2900 was not equipped with a steam generator so a steam generating car was required for passenger service during the fall,winter and early spring seasons.This locomotive is one of the local railfans favourite catches.

Sometimes it seems like our plans never pan out, or nothing happens in terms of progress on our model railroads. Something to counter that this week. We're going into the wayback machine (found this shot digging back into the start of layout building) and then forward to the present:
