As for the GE's, I really don't know why BNSF 4560 and NS 8447 would have swapped doors. Unless someone in the shop was being funny. I have no doubt it probably occurred at Altoona when the BNSF unit was on NS rails. Either that or at CEECO when the NS unit was out on BNSF and needed some sort of repair.
I really like that photo of the BNSF blue unit with the Conrail showing through.

Before the merger, the SF would do almost anything for power when they were short. A couple of years before the merger, it may have been right after the SPSF merger was denied, the SF was power short, and took delivery of some new power from EMD or GE painted solid grey with SF reporting marks and numbers just to get the power on the road. Those units received the red & silver warbonnet later if I remember correctly.

Tom they look great with only one problem. The blue appears to be a little light.

The truth DOES hurt!I just took an old Conrail shell and modified it keeping the Conrail number Check this http://crcyc.railfan.net/locos/emd/sd402/sd402rost.html it does list that as a Conrail number. My technical mistake. Also as I said before the C in CSX is Chessie. Also this was about the wrong Blue being used. I was only trying to help. After all they will be painted C&O blue & yellow with sides being Seaboard gray. I know the yellow has been changed to gold for some reason.
