Started building this N scale elevator yesterday.As you can see I have a long ways to go yet.
Silos are PVC pipe,there will be atleast 8 more of them.
Headhouse (to be replaced later) is from the Walthers kit along with the car shed.
The office is made from pieces of the Walthers building.

I am also a big fan of grain elevators. They are the "skyscrapers" of the prairie. Nice work so far.

I too love the looks of the grain elevators (and GERN Flux facilities). There were some monstrous concrete silos over west of Houston, but last time I google-earthed the area, it looks like they've been demolished. Please keep us updated on the progress.

That's looking good! And it's a pretty serious foot print too...going to need a lot of hoppers to empty those silos.

Update for 5-19-10
Got another block of silos about done and started on the headhouse today.(still thinking about adding more)
In case you are curious this beasty is 310 N scale feet long and 98 N scale feet tall.

Not to stray from your build- Looks great by the way!- but yesterday I saw an abandoned grain elevator in NE Washington, D.C.! Didn't expect to find that!
