There is no more exciting races as the road races that gets our favourite drivers to turn right. Always my most entertaining high points of the season. I have noticed that the pinch hitters employed for these races haven't necessarily lived up to their expectations and that's why I haven't changed my roster. I am certainly nervous about whether my chosen drivers are up to this challenge but I have a dubious confidence that my chosen "kids" will help me maintain my 1st place in this fantasy league..

Did anyone see Richard Hammond from the BBC show Top Gear get to drive a NASCAR race car and get humbled with the experience?
As much as I enjoy Formula 1 racing I must admit that NASCAR drivers are in my opinion the equal of the finest and most proficient athletes in motor sports? Tony.

The Nascar regulars have come a long way on road courses ...many have taken lessons from road course specialists and have proved to be quick learners . I've made a few changes in my roster for this race ....hope it pans out !

Road races with stockcars used to be some of the best comedy on TV, but they have gotten just good enough to become very boring

The Nationwide road races usually provide a lot of " demolition derby " entertainment with various newbies trying to get the feel of something that is NOT a left turn ....you're right , the cup guys don't provide much excitement anymore ......like a freight train out there now .

Yeah I'm sure the Nationwide guys would provide more entertainment.

Funny isn't it ? Here we are cheering for these various multi millionaires as they drive hand crafted cars , supported by big buck race teams ........
On the other hand , out RV dealer sponsors a local guy in his " late model " Dodge ...hard to tell from the body how " late " the car is . Our logo is on the hood of the #19 Dodge ...odd place I thought , why not the rear quarter panel so fans can actually see it . ![]() I'm sure the above scenario is replayed thousands of times across North America .......guys have racers dreams ...reality sets in a little later . I wished Kevin good luck this weekend in the 100 lapper .....pays $1500 to WIN . ![]() T

When you find out the cost of those tires you may want to rethink that idea!
![]() I dropped Burton and Hamlin and took on Montoyo and Stewart because of it being a road course, also switched Biff for Edwards. I'll bet this all comes back to bite me! ![]()

Montoya is an interesting choice , Mike , and one that I thought about for a while . He seems to always find trouble inspite of his talent and I don't think the other guys cut him much slack . I even considered Canadians Ron Fellows and Jacques Villeneuve .....but Fellows' best years are behind him and he seems more of a "gentleman driver " these days . Villeneuve .......hmmm, uh, no comment .

Montoya's best finishes are usually on road courses. I was thinking Fellows was getting up there in years and I don't know anything about the other guy. Of course Stewart isn't exactly a youngster any more eiither.

This race had me doing my " deepest thinking " ....which way was the wind blowing , what did my selected drivers have for lunch , who had the best haircut ,.....who had hair
