what is it called when you use static electricity to put on grass. I thought there was talk about this over at the utter site . I thought some one had talked about making a home made applicator that put a static charge on the grass when you apply it to the layout . Any help please Thanks in advance Roger

Hi All,
I too have been looking at a cheaper option to the Noch applicator ... i never mind buying equipment for the railroad but they are too much as Josh says
Thanks shortliner i have ordered one of the insect killers shown in the second link .... works out better than one of the Noch puffer bottles as well.
Post some pics when i get it up and sorted the results should be interesting

Lee Valley (www.leevalley.com) sells a flocking gun (http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx ... 3298,43300) designed to fire 1/32" flock. Don't know how it would perform with longer grass, but maybe worth a try at under CAN$7.
