I will start by saying I haven't read all of the posts in this but for years I have been pushing for the LHS. I have one about a mile down the road. He has been trying for about 3 years now. I try to publicize his shop and what little I buy now I get from him. I have a nephew who is into the hobby, I have tried to get him to go to this shop but at 14 he would rather sit at his computer and order the stuff and pay shipping which usually makes the price more than the LHS. Yes at 14 he can't drive but his mother would take him there with no problem and stop by here for a few minutes. The answer ? I don't know but as I have said before when you need a screw to attach a coupler to a car and don't have one , go to your computer.

Lester,It is nice when there is a fully stock hobby shop across town..
However,when the closest shop is 26 miles away...What can I say? Thankfully I call before going to see if he has the needed items..90% of the time he needs to order some common things including some sizes of screws,paint,thinner,decals,decal set, MT 1015s etc.
So,I do go to my computer and add the things I need to my list..When I make my next order I include such common things I can't buy locally.
Its a sad affair when a large hobby shop(and the only one left in this area) carries a limited supply of commonly needed items..
