An excellent, all-purpose MRR store, only sells MRR hobby products. Friendly, helpful staff.

Hornet sells other hobby items as well as MRR products. A good source for British model railway enthusiasts such as myself. Also sells used products and take trade-in's. Good, friendly customer service. I especially find Hornet helpful for finding suitable paints and kit-bashing products. Also a offers an excellent repair service, especially for older HO locos. I think this is an excellent, traditional "mom & pop" type hobby shop!

However,a old shop reopened that had been closed due to the owner's health problem..He even moved to a new location..
What I like about this shop the owner will work with you on prices.

I plan on going for a look see.

my local hobby shop is a very good place, well really its the only hobby shop around here. anyways its a small shop, the mom and pop kinda place, but the are super nice people, carrying a lot of stock and will do mail and special orders too. they also carry a lot of the athearn blue box kits. but they have all brands and scales ins tock to and have a nice inventory of spare parts in stock as well . they are located about 45 minutes southeast of pittsburgh, pa and they have convient store hours too. the info is below.

Walt's Hobbies I don't know the address. It is on Rte 30 just about 1 miles south of Caton Farm Rd. in Crest Hill, IL
Ed's Hobby Warehouse 11152 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, IL This guy has a huge store, and a HUGE selection of any hobby item you may want. His HO section is so large it is displayed on layered walls that roll to the side to show the next layer. He is good for conversation, sells consignment items, and has a few birds in the store too. His prices are great!!

Al's Hobbies, as mentioned by Viperman is good too. They know their stuff, but they are pricey and the selection is rather small.
Don't follow me, I'm lost too.
