Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.
At any rate, excellent project! Nice finds as well. Any time I walk the tracks, all I find is rusted junk that I'd need a tetanus shot after touching.

Thanks Loren, It is a treadle sewing machine base. The top was no good but I figured I would be able to make something out of it someday. Glad you enjoyed it.

A very imaginative and well done way to preserve those bits of RR history...5 stars...definitely...
There were 2 of those sewing machines at my Grandma's house....Wonder where they went....
