decoder installs in Nscale
#1
Well guys bit the bullet and bought a DCC system.
I'm looking for blue prints or install guids for milling Nscale frames for decoders and a decoder guide.

Any help would be great.
Thanks all

I'm not too far removed from where you are now...but let me offer these.

First off, the Digitrax.com website has installation guides posted on line so you can review them prior to buying the decoder. Also, Digitrax is pretty good about posting a listing of what decoder fits which engine. Their list is not complete, I've run into engines that are not listed with a matching Digitrax decoder, so either they don't make one for that particular engine, or someone needs to update the data. Although Digitrax offers customer support, the real tech support is obtained from a yahoo group link listed under "Tech Support". There is one group devoted to Digitrax and another that handles Nscale installations specifically. I've received some very helpful info from both with particular installation or programming questions. There's also some good basic information you can find from several hobby store websites like Tony's Trains, and even the 2guyz.info or nscale.net dcc forum. But I've also never posted a question anywhere else before posting it here - and I've always received some great information. There's some real dcc experts right here that have really helped me in the past.

Hope this helps.
