Minnesota Zephyr while its still around
#1
The Minnesota Zephyr was a tourist dinner train that ran in the scenic St. Croix Valley out of Stillwater, MN. The train was discontinued and the right of way is being purchased by the MN Dept of Natural Resources to create a trail that will connect with exiting bike paths. Reportedly the train will be sold. I don't get out to picturesque Stillwater very often so I thought I'd snap a few photos of the FP7 at the head end while its still there.

Stopped off at White Bear Lake on the way home and took a couple of photos around its station and displayed NP caboose, now a historical center.

The station has a classic small town look...

Sometimes the caboose is open and you can tour the inside...not today though!

Great pics..!! It's good that guys like you and others are creating archives of these last remaining workhorses that helped build this nation into what it is today....

Our cultural timeline nowadays is what was in the morning news. The past is for old foggies....

Morning news? Not anymore. The timeline lately goes no further than what was posted to twitter or facebook over the past two hours! Nope
