Les,most Digitrax Dealers don't replace the Decoders.Digitrax has a repair form on their web site,fill it out with what the problem is and for a small fee they will repair and send it back. Harold

I made an executive decision today. The fried decoder is gone never to be seen again.

Les...Be sure to check your loco for any internal shorting before installing another decoder. Don't want to have a decoder-burning factory on your RR...
The only time I've fried one was on an SD-7 that jumped a switch and the wheels shorted, and a small puff of smoke was seen hovering over the spot...

I will check it out thoroughly first. It will probably be a while before I attempt to replace it.
