New Air brush.
#1
I recieved a real air brush for Christmas. I don't have it in front of me right now so I can't gove you exact details of what it is, but I can tell you it is top of the line Badger, dual action. What I am looking for is lessons, on line or in book form so that I get off to the right start. I have had cheap ones that were junk but this one is the real thing. I mean profetional (spell check) stuff. The last thing I want to do is mess up a good new tool.

Congrads on the purchase! Best place to start is the home page for them, they have a tips section http://www.badger-airbrush.com/tips.htm with some articles.

I don't know what paint you regularly use, but I would stick to using the cheap air brushes if you use Badger Model Flex. I think it is probably better now than the first stuff they came out with, but I understand it still has a tendency to set up in the gun before you can finish spraying. It isn't particularly hard to clean out an external mix, single action gun, but the internal mix, double action gun can be a real problem as I understand it. I noticed as I read through Josh's thread on painting the MET, that Dr Wayne recommends using the double action air brush with acrylics including Model Flex. If you read through that thread, you will get a lot of good information including some really good info from Wayne on how to avoid having the Model Flex dry in your air brush.
