Oregon's second Talgo train set, Mount Bachelor, departed Milwaukee today. It will arrive in Seattle late Thursday and begin testing soon. Both new sets are supposed to be in service by the end of the year. The first set is named Mount Jefferson.

Union Pacific operated two Operation Lifesaver special trains from Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago up the UP-Northwest Metra commuter line today. Here is a photo of the train at OTC with two Metra train sets:
