Digitrax UT4 pockets
#1
I have got my first Digitrax UT4 throttle together with some plastic pockets to be mounted at the fascia. This photo shows the intended position of the throttle in the pocket.

Most time, at least quite often, does the throttle not glide to the bottom of the pocket but hangs at the left and/or right rotary switches. I am concerned the rotary switches may have a short live time if they are bumped on the pocket several times a day.

Is that really a concern by your experience and should I cut off some of the pocket to hold the throttle at the left and right side of the body only?

Some time later....
I did just give it a try, and it works great. Slips in much easier!

ps. I could not find a forum dealing with "mechanical" DCC problems Big Grin

Is this the same as this product? http://ppw-aline.com/Universal_Throttle_Pocket.htm It does seem slightly different. However, this is out of stock at Walthers. I'm interested in anything like this, since I'm converting to DCC over the long term, and I'd like to have smething lke this for NCE cabs. For that matter, for the legacy DC walkaround cabs I have now.

Yes, it is the same. I got a 3-pack from my LHS (L = 100 miles drive one way:-). However I did not see or get the white spacer shown on the photo. They may be required for other thicker throttles. The Digitrax UT4 is an entry level model to be used as an engine throttle only. It can not be used for decoder programming etc.
