Modules VS. Layouts.... Which do you choose to model?
#16
As some of you may have seen i have Morganth 8ft X 6FT 6'' X 2FT 6'' in an L shape my N scale layout still under construction and have started Novahill 16ft X 2ft switcher layout HO i am looking for ideas for as to what industries that can be modelled on a narrow width layout ......... both run on DCC ....... my main interest is N scale but i want to run the HO stuff, if i had the space i would have a bigger layout of both scales.
My goal is to have a railroad room around 40 ft X 20 ft

On a narrow shelf in ho, it is common to model the industry as a background flat and only the actual industry tracks are modeled full width.

I started with a diorama that had one non-working track in the background, but I soon graduated to a real layout soon after. I am lucky to have a 12' x 16' basement space for my layout. Big enough but not too big.

It would be neat to do a module, but there are no modular clubs anywhere near me. Sad

cheers
