Scubadude's Kitbuild 2014 Summer Challenge
#1
I'll be building Blair Line's Blairstown General Store laser cut kit for the Kitbuild Summer 2014 Challenge. I've had this kit on the shelf for a while, good a time as any to break it out and get crackin'
It has a future home planned on The T & A outside of town down by the river....[attachment=1]image.jpg[/attachment

When I was a kid I bought baseball cards for a nickel a pack at an old place called Clearwaters back in NC....so it is a must for the T&A...

According to the instructions, step 1 is complete....I primed and painted the walls before assembly and gave them a light scuffing to indicate to Old Man Clearwater it is time to paint....

The foundation was treated with some brown, black, and gray oil pastel crayons rubbed in with my finger...

Step 2- build the rear porch...

Hey Mike, did you do do anything to the roof before you applied the roofing material? Should I apply the paper and then paint the roof??
Cheers,
Richard

Richard I sprayed the roof flat black, added a chimney and weathered it. Your build looks great! Thumbsup
