Ok,, while at Railfest in Scranton PA last weekend. I noticed this yellow bracket attached to the truck of an NS SD-35, and was wondering what it was. It's only on one side of one truck on the unit. I have never noticed this before on any other unit,,,Any Ideas????
My other car is a locomotive, ARHS restoration crew

Does it have anything to do with third rail territory?

How about a locomotive number since NS doesn't have any SD35s left.

That's a hanger for carrying an EOT. At least that's what several NS crewmen say is its purpose. Have seen them on a lot of NS engines, but mostly on the older locomotives, such as C40-8/9's, SD60's and SD70's.
Based on some photos I've seen taken at Railfest, locomotive in question might be NS 6332 an SD40E.
