Clowers Seed
#1
As part of my plan to continue work on my Madras Switching Modules I have started in building a few of the structures. I have decided that I will not be making exact matches, but more going for the flavor of the buildings. I will design them I can continue to add detail to them, but at me leisure. The first building I am tackling is the unique elevator the belonged to Clowers Seed.

I am starting with two of the Walthers corrugated metal grain elevators and heavily modifying them to get a close approximation of the Clowers Elevator. The structure itself has a few unique features I want to make sure to include, especially the little loading vestibule, the multilevel roof and the elevator leg sticking out of the top of the building.

Here is the front of the building so far.

I will get the four main walls figured out then I can start filling in the interior sections.

Great start Greg. Nice thing about these old elevators is you never see two built the same.

Yeah that is one reason I wanted to do a model of this building since it is so unique. I have seen a number of elevators in the Midwest that are similar but nothing like this one. Also thank you posting your elevator build it has given me some ideas on what to do with mine.

Plugging away at the building, I got the walls all together and I am now working on figuring out the roof. The next major section will be the elevator leg that sticks out of the top of the building.
