Small Stamp Mill
#61
Thanks Matt and David. I inherited this fiberglass eraser from another modeller but I have seen them in the micro-mark catalogue. I'm guessing that they are available elsewhere as well. We have an artist supply store here in town and I'll see if they carry them.
Anyway I finished the reefer tonight.

I ran a wash in A&I over the side and painted the door hardware. I also dry-brushed a bit of rust over the grabs and hinges. I made a foundation and steps out of RR ties. Next to plant it!

Thanks Wayne.
I went to my local artist supply shop and they don't carry anything like the fiberglass eraser and I came up empty at Lee valley tools as well. However I did find them for sale on Ebay for pretty low prices.

Anyway I finished off the scene yesterday.

I placed the reefer to the side of the mill and added details to the loading dock.

I made the sacks out of Sculpey clay and the crates and figures came from the parts stash.

Now that this project is finished I can put the layout back together in front of it and get back to some other projects that were put on the shelf before this came along.
