Leon Hoffentoth certainly has connections on the Elora Gorge & Eastern Railway. When he heard there was a special train heading back to the Leetown Division he made arrangements for a cab ride---Charlie graciously volunteered to capture this once in a lifetime event that I'll never forget.

I dunno, Ed...I had an uncle (Barney Secord) who rode the rods during the Depression, but those photos make it look like just about anybody can get a cab ride nowadays.

A while ago the Leetown Division leased a diesel locomotive from the OA&GB RR.The RS1 #910 proved so successful the Leetown Division decided to buy this locomotive and it is now a permanent member on the Leetown fleet. As the previous livery is almost identical to CNR's colours it will remain in the original scheme---it certainly has become a railfan favourite on the Division.
