Alternatives to rubbing alcohol for cleaning track

Rob, I pretty much just use rubbing alcohol, but my dad always used Goo Gone, and he swore by it. I remember ya had to get it off pretty good though, if you left a coat on the track ya would get wheel slippage sometimes.

Yes, rubbing alcohol works really well but it's almost impossible to find right now. So I'm using a variety of options.  The paint thinner seemed to work really well but may be too strong (and smelly). Wipes are a good idea and I still have yet to try my wife's suggestion of using vinegar -- that could be a good option as well.
