FRANCE CFD VIVARAIS HO metric in 1940/1950
#1
Hi,

I have still not finished my mexican layout in on30 but I will start in parallel a french CFD VIVARAIS at HOm scale in the  1940/1950 era.

It's a typical rural line at metric gauge. When I was young ant today too I use to ride on this train that still exist as touristic line. It's mountainous train with small halt or railways station. I Will do 3 small scene in radio chassis of the years 1940 / 1950 and the radios will be link together.

Frank,

The picture of the prototype is wonderful. You are lucky to have ridden such a beautiful route.

This will be one of the most creative uses of a radio chassis ever done. I see many awards for this in your future. Thanks for sharing your builds with us.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.

The CFD is an acronym of chemin de fer départementaux which means all the locals railways system in narrow gauge for rural development.

Nice, I'm impressed that you even found old radios to use.
