Got some more work done this past weekend!

First, I got some more foam in the rock cut area, and I think I'm done filling that area with foam. Next weekend I should be able to start applying plaster there. Still not sure how I'll do the rock cut itself, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Then I finished carving out the lake, and prepped it for plaster.

Then I decided to apply the plaster now, with a thin 1st coat.

And now this is where the lake and river are at, sitting for a week to dry up. I plan to use one more thin coat there.

Hi Steven,

Coming on well i like the idea of the track threading the rock/landscape ....... blasted out for a railroad to pass through .... just make sure your longest stock/loco has clearence.

Be interesting to see the river develop Thumbsup

I plan on using some real rocks and sticks in the river, probably with the next application of plaster. I'm getting excited about it, just too bad I can't work on it more than 1 day a week

At least I'm not the only one doing that!

Coming along nicely. I, personally, favor the splat method.

Steve! Good to hear from you. Been looking for Deano, but I don't see him posting here at all. Would love to hear from him again too.

Thanks for the compliments. We'll see how well the 1st layer of plaster looks on Easter, and I should be able to get some modeling done that day too

Got some more work done last weekend!

First off I started out applying a thin 2nd coat of plaster to the water area, and added some sticks and rocks.

Then I moved on to the rock cut scene. I applied a generous amount of plaster, I know I'll have to add some more once it all dries up. Problem is, I'm not really sure how I want the rock cut itself to look when done. I could use some ideas![Image: MYlayout-27.jpg]

And the last one for now, is a mock-up of the bridge that will be placed here for trucks to get to the lumber mill area.

Lookin' good, Steven!! I noticed in a couple of pictures you had the Project Engineer surveying your work!
I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.
