I've got a Tsunami decoder to fit into one of my Athearns. It's got to be hard wired to the chassis, then the lights etc. to be wired. I'm using LED's instead of bulbs. Will I need to fit resistors to it or not please. Thanks.

I just picked up a Proto2000 CSX gp38-2 shell which needs handrails. I've been trying to search for p2k handrails but can't seem to find any. Anyone know where I can pick up a set or know if another brand will fit?

I use a lot of acylic paints in my modeling.Since they are water based I clean my brushes with water.I discovered a long time ago that the dirty water from this brush cleaning made for a great weathering wash.I keep several different bottles with different colours in them ranging from white to brown to dark grays. This CV boxcar and the two flats in the lower picture are weathered this way.The decks of the flat cars also have some paint weathering applied too.





These are Z scale by the way.The neat thing about this kind of weathering is if you don't like it,it can be washed off if done fairly soon after it is dry.

This is also the method I use to weather my N and HO rolling stock. It' cheap

Caught up with WPMA-03 at the Flying Fish Brewery while it was setting out a reefer of hops at the Brew House and again picking up some empty grain cars at the elevator.

I've had this pack laying around unopened for many years and have decided to use it on my layout . I've looked at a You Tube video of one guys use of the product .....to me it sticks up too much and looks more like a bush than grass . Maybe I'm expecting too much ? Has anyone tried this or a similar product ?
