Can we post photos directly from our computers onto Big Blue, or do we still need a photo sharing website?

I posted this video of a sample of operations on my layout. Its the first video I've attempted with editing and transitions.

I know I'm all over the place with different projects but I've been thinking of the idea for quite a while. Seeing how king's material (and many other businesses) will use a front end loader to push/pull cars into certain spots for loading and unloading I'd like to attempt to use this same operation. I'm thinking of using a promotex front loader...



And mounting it to a bachmann hi-rail frame...


The wheel base I think is pretty similar and the hi-rail seems relatively flat plus it has head/tail lights which would look pretty cool. Im just not sure of which wheels are the electrical pick ups, I'm assuming the black truck wheels are and the hi rail wheels are for detail? Am I crazy or could this work??

This is in my front yard after two days of rain. My grandson and I built this boat last fall and never got to put it in the water because of cold weather. So why not ? Oh yea click on the pictures

Someone left an old copy of Model Railroader magazine in my doctor's waiting room. I knew it wasn't put there by the doctor since it was only a May, 1982 edition, and most doctors don't have magazines that are that new. That, plus all they seem to have are things like, Car and Driver, People, US World Report, Good Housekeeping and a bunch of health-related magazines that you wouldn't pick up until you've been waiting over a half-hour there and have gone through everything else that is there to read. Well, since no one showed back up to claim it, I’m looking it over at my leisure, and the next time I go, I just might leave behind an issue from this century in it's place.

Remember, I was too busy supporting my family and starting a new business in 1982 and had no interest in model railroading back then. Out of curiosity, I compiled this table to get an idea of how times have changed over the past 32 years. I also added the same data for a July, 2002 issue that I have. The magazine formats are basically similar with many of the same features. What has changed is the number of advertisers, (many that have gone by the wayside over the years), the cost and the size. There was no DCC in 1982, although one company was selling a sound control that made a sound when you pushed one of the 20 or so buttons. DCC did appear in the 2002 issue.

Anyway, look it over and I’d be interested in hearing what anyone can add.

While looking round google maps last night I came across http://goo.gl/maps/FAKKA which looks a rather interesting ISL.

There look to be four turnouts servicing five industries in an area about 2400 feet long.
Using a bit of Modeller's license this could easily be shrunk some what.

The industries include the following

1) Cone Distributing Inc ( A Beer Distributor)
This looks like its disused but using a bit more of that Modeller's license it could be reinstated to receive boxcars carrying beer

Looking west from the grade crossing and to the left of Cone Distributing is
2) Ferrellgas (A propane gas distributor)
Again this looks disused but using even more Modeller's license it could be reinstated to receive propane gas tank cars.

Turning 180 degrees and to the right of the track is,
3) Ocala Breeders Feed & Supply
Goole streetview shows rusty CSX covered hoppers waiting to be unloaded.

Next down the line is a switch to
4) The Alexander Group, llc
This looks to be a Construction Company
I guess this would receive lumber in Hi-Cube boxcars, flat cars and centerbeams.

Google satellite view show as if the buildings have just been built, but street view shows is fully working.
