Again,
in August 2022 the South West Division group of FREMO has made their summer convention in Ubstadt.
This year the timeframe was set in modern era 2000's +

A crate manufacturer was also modeled. Green truck is waiting to be loades with new empty crates. The planls therefor were delivered by rail.

Next stretch of the main is street running through a quiet suburb, Hysteria Lane or so. Built by Jens.

Then Upper Terminal with it's barge operation is reached. Last year is was a pure plywood district, this year Silvia and Stefan managed it to ballast the tracks, made the water and built the ferry terminal.

Uwe's curvature modules with the scratch built switches were ballasted and some landscape was done.

  Log cabin, outhouse
Posted by: ezdays - 10-30-2022, 02:17 PM - Forum: ezdays (Don) - Replies (8)

Well, I thought that the outhouse needed it own thread, it's a rule to keep it away from any other structure, so I am.

This is a lot smaller than the other two, but easier since I made it in traditional upright boards rather than logs. Note the size, just about right for a two-hole structure, about 4' x 8' x 7'H. Just a bit smaller than a US dime. Now I need to build Pioneer Park and include all three structures along with some picnic benches.

  Haunted houses
Posted by: Charlie B - 10-21-2022, 04:30 PM - Forum: Upper Berth - No Replies

I just got an Email from Gold Rush Bay and they are doing an HO scale Aadams Family mansion for a reasonable price. I have bought from Christian before and I am very happy with his offerings. I just want to pass this along for those interested. They may be in other scales too. He has a pretty extensive line of 3d printed buildings and other items

  Ranger station log cabin
Posted by: ezdays - 10-18-2022, 10:16 AM - Forum: Scratchbuilding and kitbashing - All Scales - Replies (17)

I'm starting a new thread since my other log cabin thread is giving me a few fits, plus this is a new project. What I want to achieve is making a log cabin using the logs that Jim sent me. Rather than notching the ends, I'll terminate each corner or junction using a vertical post. I have room on my layout for a park which will include the original log cabin, a ranger station/museum and a picnic area surrounded by a chain link fence.

  QMLX freelance lease locomotives
Posted by: Canadian Atlantic Railway - 10-16-2022, 03:03 PM - Forum: HO Modeling - Replies (10)

I created my own leasing company by simply modifying a existing companies logo and changing the color to give it a prototypical look but making it my own.

I'm trying to keep the roster powered by 645's. The GP38-3's are built from GP35/38/40/50 donors.

Built as a GP38.

Built as a GP40. Retained the three radiator fans.

So this was my friend's other hangout. He was always mentioning you and talking about the trains with us uneducated ones. I met him on rimfire central. He became a great friend would always get me through a bad day. You all know his anniversary is coming up this weekend. In case you didn't know they are having this event in his honor.
