Well, I've looked carefully and closely, and can't find an answer....so...can anyone, (or everyone,) show/tell me how to wire an Atlas #215 controller, and an Atlas #220 connector? Sil vous pleasey?

I tried to post pics to 3 diffrent posts today and every time i try i get this mesage and no matter the pic size (Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.)

In the past, I've made my roads from wall joint compond and then painted them a dark grey with water soluble paints. I then applied automotive pin striping tape. This time around, I did the same except I weathered the roads with black chalk and now my pinstriping tape won't stick at all. I think I'm going to try a paint pen but wondered how the rest of ya'll get 'er done?

I have around 20 to 25 Atlas custom line turnouts already installed on the new layout I am currently building that I know realize most if not all of them will need to have the frogs powered. I was testing out a 2-10-2 that I had just installed a Tsunami sound decoder in last night and at prototypical yard speeds 5mph even the big loco stalled out when it hit the non powered frogs. So I think rather then go the toggle switch route or power via the tortoise switch machines I am going to use Tam Valley Depot's Hex Frog Juicer, You can power up to six frogs with one board and you need to run a single wire from the frog to the HFJ controller.

My question is can I just drill hole through the roadbed etc. and feed a wire maybe a 22g through small hole thats cast into the frog on the Atlas turnout and solder the wire to it or is there more involved?

I'm finishing up my re-located workbench area and need to provide a little more light to complete the space. The resourcing of said light has been tougher than I expected.

The fixture will have to be fairly close to the work surface (maybe 30") due to having to clear a cold air return pipe, and I had planned on hanging it from the top most of several shelves shelf facing my workbench (see picture below).

So what I had in mind was a 4' single tube (because of the proximity) low-profile T8 or T12 fluorescent light fixture with reflector. The fixtures at Lowes Depot are neither what I would consider low profile nor do they have reflectors.

Any suggestions as to alternative sources or products?

I don't know about many of you,but if there is one thing I have learned while building my last two layouts it's this-"Don't throw anything out." I have many boxes with scrap styrene and all sorts of odds and ends leftover from various projects.I do however go through the boxes every once and a while and see if there is anything that I really don't need,which rarely happens.For example,I'm in the process of converting a couple of old Athearn BB into plug door reefers and now I have extra door which could be turned into a flat car load or added to the layout in some way.
I have also found that old perscription bottles are great for storing small parts.I make my own wood pallets and use these bottles to hold the various size components.
How about the rest of you? How much stuff do you save?
