After running my Athearn N big boy here the truck under the cab jumps the rails in one place i have checked the track and its faultless ... have any of you had this and how did you solve it ?

Does anyone know of a company that makes store fronts......I mean just the fronts of stores or apartments.....that you could use on the back of a layout sort of like a backboard ??????? But it would only be about the thickness of the front of a structure.

Yesterday I recieved a phone call from a fellow modeler from here in Las Cruces while on his summer vacation. He was calling from the Intermountain Plant. It was relayed to me that Intermountain folks were extra nice and gave Mike the full tour (thanks Brett). Mike told me that they let him actually fondle the AC12 prototype and provided him with a running demo as well. He said the locomotive was placed on a UniTrack 11 3/4" figure 8 and left running fo at least an hour and it was the smoothest running steam loco he had ever seen and Mike has been an N Scale collector for years. Mike says the detail work on the cab , boiler and railings is of the highest quality and he was blown away by the over all offering !!
He said that Intermountain says they are on the way and should be here in Sept. or Oct.
I am saving up my pennies!!

Over the many years Robin and I have been married we have taken some long walks along many railroad tracks with my son and cameras in hand.
Over that time we have found many interesting things along the lines. We had picked up many many pieces of railroad china along the way. The quandry was what does one do with all these pieces?
Well , months ago Robin decided she wanted to make them into some sort of keepsake and came up with this idea. I think she had a fine idea and great exicution so thought I would show it off a little.

I was looking at Puddlejumpers thread and noticed you have a coiled cord on the throttle, and you use dc if I remember right. Is that phone cord?

My last few sheets of styrene have come from old transit bus signs. They are 2' x 8', 0.060" ("sixty-thou") thick. They take a bit of washing up, and sometimes the vinyl lettering needs to be removed. But best of all, they are free!

At 60-thou, they are a little thick for "fine" work, but they make great roads, parking lots, internal braces for large buildings, roofs, and so on.

So check with your local Transit Authority.
