is this weekend, January 10 & 11. I've never been to one of these events. Are they worth going to? The Cal Expo website says parking is $10.00 but doesn't show what admission is. Anybody know?

Email notification received this morning, the "old neighborhood" is still having "problems". I tried posting there yesterday, and couldn't get my reply to "go through". The place is a mess! I am so happy we got out when we did.

Not sure this is the correct place to post this question. Please advise and or move. :?
I received a 3D railroad Concept and Design program for Xmas. I use a Vista system and this softward does not state that is will run on Vista.
I have tried to get in touch with the maker ( Abracadata) and can't seem to be able to contact them. Phone# does not work. The <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://WWW.abacadata.com">http://WWW.abacadata.com</a><!-- m --> address gets me no where?
Anyone out there using this program?
I found some old ads, on this product and the maker stated that there are free upgrades that you can down load from the web.
I have not opened the box in fear that I can't get support.

What's a good adhesive for Hydrocal castings?

While I don't think I am klutz, would it make sense to hire a company or someone to install Dcc decoders for me? Any suggestions or aid is appreciated.

I have more or less settled on modeling the PRR (loosely) in the late 40's and early 50's. I have a lot of equipment from that era, but some of the locomotives I have aquired are not logical for Pennsy so I have come up with a freelance that will provide a point of interchange and a place to use some good equipment I don't want to part with.
We don't know which direction this is going, hence the Northern and Southern is born, "Always moving in the right direction".

Just found out about this site from a card modeler off of Zealot who showed up at the other cardmodel forum finally!

I've been out of model railroading for some time now other than looking at my models - space, moves, etc. But I enjoyed reading some of the train threads at Zealot until I got sick of all the ads and found papermodelers.com

In trains, most of my stuff is N-gauge, but I like all scales and would like to get some garden equipment in the back yard one of these days. Also, I prefer steam short line and narrow gauge - sold off most of my diesel stuff on eBay a year or so ago.

Just glad to have found this place!

Dr. Wayne....On another thread you mentioned wanting to import a thread from its "old" home to this forum....
How would one go about doing this..?? There's a thread there I would like to "salvage" if at all possible..!!
