Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Herc Driver - 11-25-2011 Very good looking group! Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Catt - 11-26-2011 The four buildings take up just under 10 inches of layout real estate (or will once installed). Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Catt - 12-01-2011 Nuther new building for the Z , this time a factory. First one is down from above to show the shape. ![]() Next a straight on front shot. ![]() Right side, this is the track side ![]() Left side the truck side. ![]() 3/4 front view painted and pretty. ![]() Needs some detail on the flat roof and a name and she is done except for planting. Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Harry - 12-02-2011 Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Catt - 12-15-2011 If you have factorys you need trucks for items not shipped by rail.So I scratchbuilt a 40' trailer.I used a container chassis designed by Stony Smith with a scratchbuilt box by me. The decals are N scale but work quite well as the billboard style of lettering that Roadway uses.I have two container chassis left.At this point the plan is ti shorten one to make a 28' city trailer and stretch the other one to make a 53' trailer. ' Re: More Scratchy Goodness - Tyson Rayles - 12-15-2011 Nice job Catt!
Re: More Scratchy Goodness + some kitbashing for good measur - Catt - 12-17-2011 Got the idea for this car from a article in NSR magazine from 2009.The biggest difference is mine is Z scale. This is the second one I've done and I plan to re do the first one.The prototype cars werebuilt by BN back in the 1980s.They were meant for hauling scrap metal. Not sure yet what mine will haul. ![]() Car is total MTL except for the FVM metal wheels and eteched brass ladders. Re: More Scratchy Goodness + some kitbashing for good measur - Herc Driver - 12-17-2011 You are on a roll! Good looking stuff!!! (Whenever you feel like making some scratchy goodness in Nscale...lemme know and I'll email you my wish list!) |
