Thank you. I'm afraid I haven't spent as much time as I would like on this project. Life and other projects for other modelllers have gotten in the way. I hope to start working on it again in the near future.

Finally got some time to finish off the enginehouse. Starting with the roof
I used some square basswood to fill the roof gap, then I finished the shinges.
I added window glass to the clestory and painted the smokejacks with some weathered black. I glued the smokejacks in and used some clamps to keep them straight-ish while the glue dried.
After that I glued the clestory to the roof with some epoxy.
I used some leftover stripwood to make some trim around bothe the smoke jacks and the clestory. These cover the shingle edges and fill in some gaps. I painted them in a red-brown.

I finished off the roof with some weathering, using Vallejo and Tamiya paints.
I started by giving the roof an overspray of Vallejo US Light Gray, leaving some ramdom spots untouched. In the photo you can see the right side is unpainted, while the left has the first weathering color. I used Vallejo Old wood in the same way, then I switched to Tamiya Deck Tan and Wooden Deck Tan
I dry-brushed The deck tan down the slope of the roof, especially the clestroy ends, just adding a bit more at a time until it look 'right'. I followed that with the Wooden deck tan below the smokejacks.
Both the main roof and office roof are made to be removable. The car shed roof will be glued down. There is a small gap between the roof and the wall as well the shingle strip shows here
I painted a 1X6 piece of stripwood in the US light Gray and will use that as trim

Now that the roof is pretty much finished, it's time to finish up the interior details
Starting with the office.
The kit came with an desk made of various metal castings. I decided to opt fro this one from Interaction Hobbies.
I did use some other included parts like the coal stove, safe, and chair.
While I was at it, I added and old coach seat casting. I figued it would have been repurposed when a passenger car was scrapped.
I also finished up the main interior detail with an air compressor and coiled hose.
The model is almost finished, I'm just going to re-apply the ground cover and add a few details before it's ready to be palced on the layout

Finishing up the last bits and pieces
I glued the main doors open. I hade to prop the whole structure up on it's end to get the doors to stay where I wanted them until the glue set up
I redid the ground cover. for some reason the original ground cover left alot of bare patches.
I just added some junk and scrap castings to the outside. I'm holding off placing most of this stuff until the structure is placed on the layout.

Your office interior brought to mind the layout my dad & I built.
I had an Atlas shanty that I made an interior for.
A rolltop desk and swivel chair just like yours, and the wall telephone.
My favorite was a typewriter, as small as a match head.
As a teenager at the time with no income and little resources, the cost to me pretty much made me realize this was the only interior project I would do with store-bought details. But I loved it.
And your project, too!
