HO Scale Delorean
#1
We'll I finally gave up on Reel Rides and finished bashing my 1/87 scale BTTF III Delorean. I started with a Malibu International Lamborguini.

and turned it into this.

Sorry for the poor pics, I'm trying out a new camera. I had to take artistic license since my thumbs were just too damn big to handle some of the detail but I don't think it turned out too bad. It'll roll along the track just fine but will probably spend most of the time hiding in the Delgado Mine outside what will become Hill Valley.

Very VERY good work. That is too cool. I have the time machine in 1/64 scale slot car, and recently gave my entire slot car collection to a firned of the families little boy. I kept the Delorean though. Alicia asked me why, I told her that since Tyco's 4-6-0 is over scale size, that I was going to paint one and put it into a display case with the Delorean with speeder car wheels added.

All I can see missing is CA vanity plates that say "OUTTATIME". Goldth

Again, GREAT work.

Lots of movies are "good", some are VERY good. The Back to the Future movies were FUN!

I have several reenactor friends that were extras in BTTF III. It's always fun to pick them out of the movie when watching it. Too bad I wasn't into Old West reenacting back then.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Tom, Look real close in the rear view pic, it's there, just hard to see because of the scale and crappy photo.

Uh...We were just doing a little model railroading....

My favorite of the BTTF movies...Maybe because of the trains?
Or maybe it was because ZZ Top was in it......

Looks great!

Best line of the movie. My Old West reenacting, non railroading best friend looked over at me when we watched it and said "Doc just invented the first electric train set huh?"

"yup".

THe "Please exuse the crudity of this model" line always cracked me up too.
