My name is Josh .I'm mostly a lone wolf when I operate. My layout models prr and a fictional railroad called coal and steel . It can take 3 operators to run the railroad or 1. It is o gauge 3 rail and block control with remotes that I built. The paperwork is car Card waybill and track warrant.

I just realized Thanksgiving weekend was the 9th year of working on my current layout. Still have one major section to go. So far I'm very happy with it. So how long have you been working on your current layout and are you happy or having second thoughts?

My little layout is set in the mid 50's . Ther is an area that I think would be ideal for speeder and shed . I'll have to kit bash a partial shed I have , and scratch a speeder , but I'm wondering about other details outside of the shed . Google images hasn't been any help with real life pics ( I googled " speeder shed ) .
Any ideas / pics ??
Thanks , T

I've abandoned the layout that I posted under New Kid on the Block as I thought it looked too busy. I found a plan on here that I liked, so laid it out so as to see what it looked like on my 'boards. Much simpler, less switches and sprawled more. Much better. I've only laid it out loose for now, but when I get it down I'll put some photo's up. I don't know yet what ground cover to use, but I want to portray a rather run down, slightly seedy urban end of line, with the rails on the dirt. Possibly aquarium sand?
