Hello,
i replaced in one of my Genesis GP9's the old OEM-TSU with the new Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU2:
It sounds great and i like the dynamic sound changes depending on acceleration and load changes.
You can move the light loco still in notch 1 without reving up into the higher notches or you can got straight to notch 8. It depends onto how slow or how fast you will open the throttle. And when the loco has accelerated to you pre-selected speed, the engine will notch down but the speed will stay consistent. With a light loco it notches down to notch 1. But if there is an heavy train to be pulled, the engine will notch down after acceleration only to notch 3 or 4 depending on the rolling resistance of the train.
Thee is also real brake function which i like.

Something that's been bugging me for a long time, the computer age is great, keep in contact with the world, get thousands of answers for any question within seconds, find your way around instantly, but there's a cost to all this. Does anyone feel like venting their frustrations, irritations or general grips about today's technology that could raise your stress levels into the danger zone?
Why am I asking, well, I just turned on my laptop that's been off for a week or so, and when I tried to log onto Big Blue, I was interrupted with a message, "your subscription has expired", (to what, I haven't a clue), followed by "your virus definitions are out of date", then, "your virus app needs to be updated". Ten minutes later, I'm still not logged on, and, "Avast needs to restart your computer". There are times when I've tried to say, read my email, and I get these pop-up windows advising me that their updates are far more important than what I want to do. "We are going to restart your computer in 3-2-1...bingo and I have to wait while yet another app and Windows does it updating.
And yes, my laptop is still updating Windows 10 now so I'm back on my desktop.
That's my current grip with computers, what's yours????

This is the blog for my Southern Pacific's Jefferson Branch of Klamath Subdivision in Northern California. The Klamath Subdivision is proto-lanced line for my dream layout and the Jefferson Branch is a totally freelanced branch for the layout space I was able to get. This allows me to attempt to capture the flavor I want in the space I have………..
I’m moving my blog for my layout here to the Big Blue. I am going to try and post about one entry a day so you can can catch up to the current status.

Well, thread #8 has reached 4000 posts, so we're off to #9. Why the Roman Numerals? Heck if I know, when we started these threads, I guess someone just did it that way and we've continued ever since. A long time....
I did move the last two posts from the old thread since they were posted today...............
