All of us are intrigued by trains and their operation. I was wondering if anybody on here has any knowledge with 4 stroke motors. I recently bought a honda three wheeler and cant get it to start. I pulled the motor and replaced a lift rod (i think thats what it was) that was broken, and just am having no luck, I know pretty much nothing about these, but I know there are folks on this forum with knowledge on pretty much everything. Just wondering if anybody can offer some assistance.

what would you guys think of a pice of rolling stock with my son's info on it and the make a wish logo . here is what i was thinking .
this would travel for 1 year. to everyone's layout how would like to be part of it . with a book to write a little something about the power of a wish and what this rolling stock would add to their lay out while it is their. they would also take a pic of two one to post in a forum i will start. and then they would pass it on to the next person in line.

as for the colors it it would be make a wish blue . with white lettering. as for the scale it would be ho and n scale .their will be 6 cars for each scale.and may be a loco set? they will be numbered. and the end of the 1 year and all cars are back they will go to auction. and all money raised for it will go to make a wish of michigan.

Here is what i was thinking
for each scale
1 loco set power and dummy (non dcc)
2 box
2 coal
2 tanker

if you are thinking on doing this just post here. or if you have any other info just post.

A single pic of my current Z scale scratchbuilding project.I will finish it when I can get the trucks for it. Ladders and trucks will be the only readymade parts.I plan to make 8 of these then start on a fleet of coal gons.

as most of the old timers here who knows me. that time of year is coming this sunday would keegen's 8th birthday i have got his train on the layout to make it's run.
i went to the fire safe i keep it in and opened it up last night "hasn't been opened in a year" and only thing i put in it was his train with the cars for it . i got everything out and on the desk and looking to make sure nothing was left in the safe . i find 8 little gold stars. so i put them into a pice of the rolling stock. and here is where it got to the point i had the wife see this. train on the rails in the new yard. i turn to get a drink wife brought me and train started to move down the rails. at first i thought some one hit the power. so i looked power was off on this box. so as i made my way to the pc to see if any line was getting power the north bond train powerd down and moved to a siding . and keegen's train was still on it roll onto the north lines.i am at the pc looking at the power and the dcc controler. and my screen shows his train is in stand by. and all switches to his pass are closed and no power. all lights red. so flip main power and everything stops. i pull keegens train off replace dcc with a new one. and moved it back to the yard. well after all of that i go to the pc and all trains running as they should showing keegen's in stand by. and in keegen's pass all red lights.
no other train enters keegen's pass but this unit. i get up and turn me back to get the phone and as i turn around i see his train on the move agin......
and all others come to a stop.i look at the dcc panel on my pc and it shows it is in stand by. so i am shaking by now so i let it go it makes it on to keegen's pass with all lights showing red and does 8 loops and returns. i pulled it off and pulled dcc and added it to other loco and it works fine. i went to keegen's pass this morning to finish a couple of lights i am adding in some buildings and their i find laying on the layout 8 more gold stars. and his train is now back in the yard and working as it should.


i had to tell him this morning that it was not funny to do that i thought i was going crazy. i told him his b-day is coming and it will run the whole day this year.

As time draws near for our daughter to be brought into the world i know my time is going to be tied between my job and my family life. So in short going down to the basement to do any layout work is just about done for a while. I asked the wife if a n scale layout would be ok and she agreed as long as there was steam locos. I chewed on that for a day and sugested a freelanced layout and brings to life the M&J railway. Heres what ive gotten done in the last 2 days, any questions comments are welcomed.

Is it possible that Altas's Code 100 track is a fraction finer than Peco's Code 100?

I'm thinking this is the case because one of my older British locos (a Triang 08 diesel switcher, made in the late-1950s or '60s) bounces and clicks along my Atlas Code 100 track because of its large flanges (pizza-cutter) wheels but runs well on my Peco Code 100 track.

I basically can't run it on Atlas Code 100 track but it's fine on Peco's. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
