| Wye in a loop |

Another justification for a return loop. I found this on Google maps. The loop appears to be disconnected at one end and the only remnant of the wye is the path cleared through the trees.

| Calling all modern-era GERN modellers.... |

A number of GERN modellers have been clamouring for more modern-type GERN signs and advertising. My brother Steven, the creator of GERN over 50 years ago, has asked for photos of your GERN facilities, especially those which include modern locomotives and/or rolling stock. These should be good quality photos and he'll also need your permission to alter them as required. There's no guarantee that he'll use any or all of them, but those used will be distributed to all GERN modellers for their personal use via the usual e-mail attachment method.
Any interested GERN modellers should e-mail their photos to me as attachments, and I'll forward them on. No need to re-size them, and I think that a limit of three per person should keep this manageable. Please re-name your photos using your user name here - for example: doctorwayne 001, etc. That way I'll know whom to contact should another photo be required, and it will also serve as a credit when the finished work is distributed.

I have just aquired the above loco and its not DCC friendly. It can be done I know, but i'd like to fit a more modern Mashima. There are kits available to do this, but are there any tips or wrinkles for the job?
