I recently acquired a set of Islington JM Huber decals (ISP 230-058) to letter a 3-bay ACF covered hopper. While browsing obvious roster on the web (nakina, rrpicturearchives, etc.) I couldn't find any prototype picture. The decals are the old JM Huber paint scheme with plain block lettering.
I'd really appreciate if anyone have relevant information. The specfic reporting mark is ACFX 47025. I know McKean made a similar JM Huber 4-bay ACF covered hopper.
Hi all, new to the forum! Well, not new to reading it, but I hope now by posting that I can contribute to all the great information on this site!
I recently 3d-printed a prototype G43 gondola body in HO scale, and would like to make copies of this shell in resin. Unfortunately, I have tried my hand at casting a few times, and know that I do not have the skill to do it myself. Has anyone ever used a resin casting service, or had a friend cast for them, that they would recommend? I am not looking for a large order, just 15 or so good-quality shells, and being a college student I am sort of on a budget (this just means no $400-700 molds, like a few services I have contacted quoted me). The picture below shows the shell I'm talking about, to put it in perspective. Thanks in advance for any help!
Has anyone attempted to install Proto 87 wheelsets on their locomotives? http://www.proto87.com/product2226.html I'm wondering what the difficulty level is and if there's any obstacles or other problems I might run into. I'm thinking of swapping the wheels on 2 GP38-2s, 1 GP40-2, 1 8-40B and maybe an SD-45.

Hi, I'm actually planning to restore my old Atlas M420 kitbash I did almost 15 years ago following a December 1975 Railroad Model Craftsman issue. While browsing through my magazine collection, I found found I lost the issue probably during a move... I only have the cover. If anybody have this issue, please contact me. I would be interested to see the scale drawings.
